CLASSRoad-STARTALK 2025:
Fully Online Chinese I-II & Russian I Language Program
for Grades 9-16 Students

Are you interested in earning 8 college credits from CSUSB (free of cost) virtually through CLASSRoad’s innovative online world language student program? Join us for an enriching language learning experience in Summer 2025. Participation is completely free for all students!
Program Timeline & College Credit:
- Pre-program (3/17/2025 – 4/13/2025): 20 hours (Mostly asynchronous)
- Main program (6/13/2025 – 7/12/2025): 60 hours (synchronous & asynchronous)
- Post-program (Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec 2025): 40 hours (Mostly asynchronous)
*Full participation and successful completion of course requirements will earn students 8 college credits from California State University, San Bernardino at no cost to students.
Eligibility:
- Open to students in grades 9-16 who reside in the U.S.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (students with a GPA of 2.5 or above may be considered if space allows).
- Students with no or limited experience in Chinese or Russian must enroll in Chinese 1 or Russian 1.
- Students enrolling in Chinese 2 must have completed at least one year of Chinese language courses.
- A commitment of 20 hours of pre-camp, 60 hours of main program, and 40 hours of post-program is required.
Technology Requirements:
- Access to a reliable electronic device and internet connection to access online classes.
- Basic technology skills (e.g., Zoom, Google Suite, email) are necessary for participation in both synchronous and asynchronous classes, as well as for effective collaboration with instructors and classmates.
